CHURCH FOUNDER’S HISTORY:

It was on the 10th of March in 2012 when I was asleep (Apostle ZG Samuel) during the day in Cape Town, I had a voice saying “FLY HIGH AT GOMPO VILLAGE IN JESUS NAME”. With all authority, when I woke up, my wife was still fast asleep and there was no one in the room. I felt right in my heart that God is sending me but back then I didn’t know where the place was.

I started to enquire about the place but no one knew it, as I was staying in Cape Town I sent my friends to search for the place in East London. I finally went to visit East London and I learned that the place’s ancient name is Gompo Village, which is now called Duncan Village. As I was staying in Cape Town with my new wedded wife, she was studying in College of Cape Town and was pregnant of our first son.

I was so afraid to quit my two jobs, but the voice kept being louder and louder. After our first son was born, I prayed and said “Lord if you called me give me another son which God freely did and I named my second son Kletos which means “I’m called”. Eventually on the 1st of October 2015, I resigned from my two jobs and relocated to East London. I left my wife in Cape Town with my kids and went to start what we see today.

I had only +-R2500 as my savings with no car nor sound only faith in The Voice that said “FLY HIGH AT GOMPO VILLAGE IN JESUS NAME. God honored His Word. We started the Church. At first it was very tough because I knew no one nor the place of Gompo, but God was gracious to give us breakthrough. Today we are one of the fast growing ministries with extreme influence in the nation of South Africa. All glory to Jesus Christ who never fails.

CHURCH BIOGRAPHY:

Spirit And The Word Revival Centre was established on the 5th of November 2015 in Mekeni Street, East London, Duncan Village in Eastern Cape, South Africa. It was founded by Apostle ZG Samuel and Pastor LG Samuel. We are a Ministry that carries a message of Peace and Holiness.

We have our main branch in Duncan Village which is based in East London, Eastern Cape SA. Our other branches are in Mooiplaas Village, Ports St John’s, Vukandlule Village, Nonzwakazi Location in De Aar Northen Cape and in Lusaka Zambia.

MISSION:

To reach every soul without looking at ethnicity, gender or background. To work with God in his project of saving human kind. To demonstrate the christian life in our community and the world at large. To prepare the saints for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

VISION:

To accomplish the great commison. To restore faith and hope to God’s people. To forget what is behind and press on towards the mark and high calling of our Lord.
